I took the road less traveled by. And that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
I was fortunate enough to grow up on a little farm in central Victoria, Australia. My love for the Equine started at a very young age with my mother forever doing something with a horse and me naturally developing the same fondness. Along with my love of art which progressed to a passion in photography all lead to my development as an equine photographer and a life on the land.
I spent my early working life travelling Australia working in agriculture, documenting my life and adventures along the way. This lead me to telling a story with my photos that resonated with my following. I took these skills and when adventure landed me in Mongolia racing in the worlds longest and toughest horse race, my life’s direction took a change.
With the lifechanging completion of the Mongol derby came my career shift from full time agriculture to pursuing myself. What does this mean? I left a long term relationship, sold my farm, quit my job and moved to Tocumwal on the mighty Murray. A couple years of pause to find myself again and take note of the journey here and what on earth my life will look like moving on.
After couple years of throwing my hand to anything and all I found myself constantly returning to my love of agriculture. They say a good way to know your living life aligned, is to ask yourself if money and time was no object what would you do? I ask myself this frequently and it always is the same response. I would wake in the morning to tend to my livestock and land, my life would be full but not rushed and my imprint left on this earth once I leave is one of nature and giving back to this incredible land. I wish to farm full time for myself, to create a cohesive relationship between farming, community and most importantly nature.
Come with me on this journey, lets see how far we can take this.
